Itinerary 1
Development: km 81 Rapallo – Ruta pass (mt. 254) – Recco – Sori – fork after the bridge to the left...
Although it may be small, Liguria is the Italian region with the greatest number of passes for cyclists, showing just how interesting this area really is: often, close to the sea, hills reach 500-600 metres till 1500 metres in the Apennine ridge.
Striking glimpses give extraordinary views: during clear days facing out to sea, you can see the outline of Corsica, and on the opposite side you may recognise the alpine range from Maritime to the Valle d’Aosta Alps. Lively streams run along wild valleys with the scent of wild flowers and herbs throughout our mountains and you’ll always be able to find a clear and fresh source of water for your trip, even on the hottest of days.
This invitation is to discover Liguria by cycle: we are suggesting 10 different itineraries that run along both the coastline and the Ligurian hinterland, “Riviera di Levante.” You need to be fit, have good gears, but most of all an open and free spirit to enjoy the unique harmony that exists between Man and Nature.
